Home Renovation Design Brief: A Global Palette
In the latest home renovation adventure, our mission was to infuse four guest bedrooms with unique identities, reflecting the homeowner’s global travels and love for animals, underpinned by elements of whimsy and delight. Each room, envisioned through the lens of luxury interior design and personal storytelling, aimed to offer guests a distinct narrative woven with vibrant colour schemes.
Crafting Unique Bedroom Retreats
The renovation unveiled opportunities to convert underused spaces into areas of comfort and luxury. One notable transformation involved converting a former storage space into an ensuite bathroom, uncovering and restoring a long-concealed original fireplace, turning it into a breathtaking focal point, instead of covering up the old fireplace flu we make a feature of it, lit it with LED and added a climbing man sculpture as a pop of fun!
Integrating modern LED lighting and playful sculptures, we celebrated craftsmanship and ingenuity, blending historical charm with contemporary flair.
The Attic Bedroom: A Cloudy Sanctuary
Revitalizing the attic space, once servant quarters in its Victorian heyday, unveiled its historical bones. Exposed wooden purlins, restored to their natural splendour, encapsulated the room’s storied past. Inspired by the concept of floating amongst the clouds, we selected ethereal wallpaper adorned with playful monkeys playing against the clouds, aligning with the client’s desire to weave animal motifs throughout the home. This celestial theme extended to innovative lighting solutions with whimsical monkey lights, enhancing the room’s playful and adventurous spirit.
Echoing our commitment to luxury interior design and craftsmanship, we introduced a bespoke four-poster bed, transforming the attic into a dramatic immersive yet deeply relaxing space. The adjacent shower room, adorned with large Verdigris tiles and a pebble stone sink, subtly nods to the rugged landscapes of the Lake District, bridging the interior with the natural world outside.
