It all starts with a phone call! This initial chat is a friendly and informal first step and it will help Charlotte start to immerse herself in your project. She will follow up with arrangements for the initial consultation on site. This call is not chargeable however, each stage moving forward is.
Feeling out a space is such an important part of Charlotte’s design process. Charlotte always researches your project’s natural and architectural context before she arrives, but the real thrill and skill comes once she is on-site. It’s here that she will explore your requirements and aspirations, and understand your personal taste and lifestyle, or that of your brand.
Once agreed on our engagement in your project, a programme of works and contract will be presented to you.
A detailed site survey will capture and evaluate floor plans. And this is when the collaborative journey to determine a look and feel really picks up pace. You’ll be introduced to Charlotte’s ecologically minded and nature-driven ethos and invited to join her exciting creative process.
She will also focus on key considerations – reviewing any restrictions or design constraints e.g. planning permission, AOONB etc.
Charlotte will present you with an initial concept design, this will give you a general idea of the proposed style, colour scheme and mood of the space, the design principles and the look and feel that will flow through the scheme. Plans and layouts, AS-IS scale drawings, concept overlays – they are all part of bringing your project to life.
Following on from the feedback provided from the presentation of the initial concept design, this is then further developed into a specific proposal encompassing, furniture, wall and floor applications, fittings and colours or a specific planting scheme with detailed plant lists. Charlotte builds a close relationship with the architect from inception in order to influence the holistic direction. Flooring plans, furniture layouts, lighting, commissioning individual pieces, bespoke cabinetry, sample sourcing, and planting plans – every inch, every detail, every element is meticulously planned and developed.
Charlotte then has the pleasure of returning for the grand unveiling of the final concept proposal. Complete architectural plans, and samples of all that great tangible stuff needed for your finished space. Review of the budget and desired timescales will be discussed
Procurement of all items, bespoke commissioning of art, joinery, furniture and any bespoke applications.
Charlotte brings her years of experience and natural skills to the fore as she project manages your journey; appointing third party contractors and specialists, liaising with contractors and carrying out regular site visits to ensure the highest professional standards are maintained.
Nothing is set in stone, Charlotte loves fine-tuning throughout the whole delivery stage as it is important to her that she truly meets your holistic dreams.
Once third party contractors and specialists have completed their work, the final installation will take place and your project will be styled ready for handover. This is the point at which we will instruct our photographer to photoshoot the space for use in our portfolio.
