It all starts with a phone call! This initial chat is a friendly and informal first step and it will help us start to immerse ourselves in your project. We will follow up with arrangements for the initial consultation on site. This call is not chargeable however, each stage moving forward is.
Feeling out a space is such an important part of our design process. We always research your project’s natural and architectural context before we arrive, but the real thrill and skill comes once we are on-site. It’s here that we will explore your requirements and aspirations, and understand your personal taste and lifestyle, or that of your brand.
Once agreed on our engagement in your project, we’ll present you with a programme of works and contract.
A detailed site survey will capture and evaluate floor plans. And this is when the collaborative journey to determine a look and feel really picks up pace. You’ll be introduced to our ecologically minded and nature-driven ethos and invited to join our exciting creative process.
We will also focus on key considerations – reviewing any restrictions or design constraints e.g. planning permission, AOONB etc.
We will present you with an initial concept design, this will give you a general idea of the proposed style, colour scheme and mood of the space, the design principles and the look and feel that will flow through the scheme.
We will further develop the initial concept, using your feedback, into a specific proposal encompassing: furniture, wall and floor applications, fittings and colours or a specific planting scheme with detailed plant lists. We pride ourselves on building a close relationship with the architect from inception in order to influence the holistic direction. Flooring plans, furniture layouts,
lighting, commissioning individual pieces, bespoke cabinetry, sample sourcing, and planting plans – every inch, every detail, every element is meticulously planned and developed.
We then have the pleasure of returning for the grand unveiling of the final concept proposal. Complete architectural plans, and samples of all that great tangible stuff needed for your finished space. We’ll review the budget and your desired timescales will be discussed at this stage too.
This is when we move into the procurement of all items, and the commissioning of bespoke art, joinery, furniture and applications.
We aim to bring our years of experience and natural skills to the fore as we project manage your journey; appointing third party contractors and specialists, liaising with contractors and carrying out regular site visits to ensure the highest professional standards are maintained.
Nothing is set in stone, we love fine-tuning throughout the whole delivery stage as it is important to us that we truly meet your holistic dreams.
Once third party contractors and specialists have completed their work, the final installation will take place and your project will be styled ready for handover. This is the point at which we will instruct our photographer to photoshoot the space for use in our portfolio.
